講義概要

TOEIC（Test of English International Communication）は、国際的に最も活用されている実用英語の検定試験の一つである。近年、本試験は、実用英語の実力を測るためだけのものでなく、社会におけるキャリアアップの一つの条件に利用されたりしている。学生諸君にも是非、チャレンジしていただきたい英語の検定試験である。授業では、TOEIC・Aに続き、TOEICの受験を視野に入れ、実戦的な授業を行う。特に筆記・リスニング対策に重点をおいて、必要なボキャブラリー・イディオムの習得、文法事項、聴解練習などを中心に学習し、毎回、多くの模擬練習問題及び過去の試験問題を練習する。 This class focuses on the 7 parts of the TOEIC. Chapter 1 covers listening practice in four parts, including picture prompts, questions & responses, short conversations, and short talks. Chapter 2 provides practice with 12 different grammar points and helps build vocabulary. Chapter 3 provides reading practice for 7 styles of writing including email, advertisements, notices, and forms. Chapter 4 provides a full-length practice TOEIC test. The book for this class is more challenging than the book for first semester. The topics for each chapter overlap and will be covered as they are encountered in the different chapters. A comprehensive schedule will be given out on the first day of class.

TOEIC（500点以上）の合格を基本的な到達目標とする。

授業に関する予習・復習はもとより、普段の自己学習が検定試験合格の大きなカギとなる。英和辞典（電子辞書可）及びノートは、各自必携のこと。
