| 講義概要 |
The goal of this course is to improve students` English communication abilities. The focus will be on increasing reading and speaking speed to help with overall English comprehension as well as improve communication skills. Students are encouraged to focus less on grammar and syntactical precision, and more on conversation skills. While the practices can be quite a lot of work themselves they should generally be enjoyable. Class attendance is of great importance, please see below for details. Students are expected to conduct themselves in an enthusiastic but studious manner.
NB : The schedule and syllabus for this class is subject to change depending on the level and number of the students in attendance.

Attendance =50% Class Participation=10% Final Test =40%. Students will be expected to come to class regularly and on time and to keep track of their own attendance records. Excessive lateness can lead to penalties. If a student is absent THREE times or more this will lead to automatic failure of this course. There is no mid-term exam. Absences will be excused only by presentation of an official absence report (kouketsu) or a doctor's letter. |
